The ideal candidate is dependable, safety focused and committed to quality workmanship. This position is primarily responsible for delivering ready-mix concrete and other associated products to construction jobsites and residential areas. Operators may be called upon to work overtime as business and weather conditions warrant.ResponsibilitiesSafely operate and maintain line pump equipmentPlace, spread and finish concrete to required specificationsInspect the truck including checking fluids such as oil and antifreeze before starting in the morning in accordance with pre-trip inspection reportsFill truck with water by placing rubber hose in tank and prepare drum for concreteReceive delivery ticketsAdd fibers or other products as directedCheck slumps and mix of concreteDrive truck in secure manner to jobs arriving with desired slumpBackup or pulls into jobsites.



Must be able to maneuver truck in uneven and poor terrainLay and connect line pump hosesUnloads concrete in courteous mannerGets tickets signed and assures they have all jobsite information that is neededWashes truck with hoses and brush in designated area per contractorsCompletes all paperwork in a timely fashionRefuels truck every evening and performs walk around post inspectionParticipates in company safety initiatives and acts as a safety ambassador for RMC while on client job sitesMay be called on to perform other tasks as decided by supervisors, including assisting the boom pump team.Other duties as assignedQualificationsValid class 5 drivers license with air brake endorsement and clean drivers abstractPrevious experience as a Concrete Line Pump Operator or a concrete finisher is an assetKnowledge of finishing tools, equipment, and methodsAbility to work long hours, overtime, and weekendsPhysically fit and comfortable working outdoors year roundAble to lift 50 lbs unassisted on a regular basisKey AttributesSafety consciousReliable/punctualHigh attention to detailProven communication skillsHours of workSchedules are dictated by customer demand, so start and end times each day may be dependent upon the jobs for that day.
