UPS is hiring permanent part-time Local Sorters for Monday-to-Friday work from 5:30PM to 9:30PM, with schedules subject to operational requirements. This warehouse position involves package handling, postal-code recognition, conveyor equipment, and vehicle cleanliness. Warehouse experience is an asset, but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload and load packages from trailers and vehicles
- Lift, lower, and move packages weighing 10 to 70 pounds
- Handle packages weighing up to 150 pounds
- Scan and sort packages by postal codes and dimensions
- Wash package cars to maintain cleanliness
Requirements:
- Availability Monday through Friday
- Ability to follow safety and standard procedures
- Good organizational and multitasking skills
- Comfort working in a warehouse workplace
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted
