Teach engineering design in English at the University of Ottawa’s Main Campus as a Teaching Assistant for GNG1103 Section G. Support students through contact, grading, and examinations.

This CUPE teaching assistant assignment serves Introduction to Engineering Design during the 2027 Winter Semester. The work requires excellent knowledge of the engineering design process, experience with Makerspace and/or Brunsfield Centre tools, and very valuable teaching skills in design. Four positions are available for a course with expected enrolment of 90 students.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide 55 hours of contact with students
- Complete 65 hours of grading for course work
- Proctor mid-term and final examinations
- Complete 10 hours of proctoring

Requirements:

- Excellent knowledge of the engineering design process
- Experience using tools available in Makerspace and/or Brunsfield Centre
- Very good teaching skills in design
- Ability to work in English
