AgeCare Dawson seeks a Health Care Aide in Chestermere to support residents through feeding, mobility assistance, and thorough daily care.
This regular part time position works within the care team under Licensed Practical Nurse supervision. You will help residents bathe, eat, move through the facility, and attend meals, therapy, beauty, and recreation activities. Care plans guide diets and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support bathing, showering, washing, and resident comfort
- Transfer residents between beds, wheelchairs, commodes, and toilets
- Assist walking with walkers, wheelchairs, and positioning chairs
- Apply skin creams and bowel protocols as directed
- Accompany residents to social and therapy functions
Requirements:
- Completion of recognized PCA or HCA certificate training
- Current registration with College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Continuing care or related experience preferred
- Post-secondary education is an asset
