Set up injection molding machines at Omega Tool Corp using strong mechanical aptitude and accurate adjustment skills. Work full time Monday to Friday, with Saturdays as needed.
This Set Up Technician role supports Omega Tool Corp’s plastics tooling operations and global OEM and Tier 1 clients. You will manage machine transitions, minimize downtime, and maintain equipment while following health and safety policies. The position requires arithmetic, geometry, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform initial setups on Boring Mill and molding machines
- Adjust and maintain injection molding machine equipment
- Load and unload materials using lifting devices
- Empty metal chip bins at machine workstations
- Complete housekeeping and continuous improvement tasks
Requirements:
- Knowledge of arithmetic, geometry, and practical applications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving capability
- Ability to identify correct tools and equipment
- Capability to obtain forklift and crane certification
- Ability to lift materials weighing up to 35 pounds
