Given the food customer base that Hood Packaging serves and the risks associated with our manufacturing operations,
the incumbent of this position must commit to adhering to all policies related to quality and safety in order to ensure the continuity of SQF certification.FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTSOptimize EAM software to structure maintenance and document failuresParticipate in the development and implementation of a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for major equipmentParticipate in the implementation and commissioning of new equipment and establish critical parts and required preventive maintenanceAnalyze and identify critical failures for extrusion, lamination, presses, and slittingParticipate in the maintenance and improvement of the building and services (RTO, compressors, glycol, electricity, etc.)Identify critical parts and help manage and optimize spare parts inventoryParticipate in the planning of shutdowns and major maintenanceDesign mechanical parts to replace discontinued or overly expensive components (SolidWorks)Update plant and machine drawings (AutoCAD)Update lockout procedures and ensure that they are understood by teamsParticipate in increasing safety and ensure machine complianceOther duties as assignedHood Packaging Corporation is an equal opportunity employer and considers applications for all positions without regard to race, gender, religion, national origin, age, marital or veteran status, the presence of non-job-related medical condition or handicap, or any other legally protected status.
