Operate forklifts and move materials during a dedicated day shift at Tigercat Industries in Brantford, Ontario, supporting production flow.
As a Material Handler and Forklift Operator, you will unload shipments, organize storage areas, and load outgoing trucks. The work requires equipment inspections, paperwork review, and communication with departments. You will transport raw materials and finished products throughout the plant while following schedules, shipping documents, and drawings. Previous experience operating forklifts, pump carts, or walkies is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Move raw materials and finished products between departments
Inspect forklifts and walkies daily for damage
Maintain 5S across indoor and outdoor storage areas
Review paperwork and transport parts throughout the plant
Communicate production schedules with managers and supervisors
Requirements:
Previous experience operating material handling equipment
Explicit communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret schedules, shipping documents, and drawings
Ability to adapt to changing demands and delays
Ability to drive, stand, and climb
