As a Float Laboratory Assistant, you will serve patients across Kakulu Road, Kanata, Ottawa, Arnprior, Carleton Place, Bayshore, Barrhaven, and Renfrew. This full time, 12-month contract includes guaranteed 35-hour weeks and day shifts Monday through Saturday. Your work supports Dynacare’s mission, values, quality standards, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Create best-in-class customer experiences for patients
Manage anxious patients calmly during sample collection
Sort and steer specimens according to established protocols
Complete urine, drug,
and breath alcohol collections
Prepare specimens and documentation for laboratory transportation
Requirements:
Laboratory Assistant training program completion
Medical Lab Assistance course with phlebotomy specialization
Skill in phlebotomy and patient communication
Ability to prioritize and self-manage deadlines
MLPAO or CSMLS certification strongly recommended
