Support meal production at AgeCare with standardized recipes, resident diet modifications, and protected food handling in Salmon Arm. Regular part time hours are scheduled.

The Cook's Helper works in a traditional institutional kitchen serving residents at AgeCare Mount Ida Mews. You will assist with food preparation, meal service, cleaning, and sanitation while following established policies, procedures, and objectives. The schedule includes afternoon hours from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare food according to recipes and prescribed portions
Follow food production time schedules and department guidelines
Assist beverage and meal service as required
Maintain food within the temperature safety zone
Clean and sanitize related equipment and work areas

Requirements:
High school graduation or equivalent preferred
Food Protected Certification Level 1
Fluent written and oral English
Two years' healthcare Cook or Assistant experience
Experience with chemical dispensers, knives, and juice dispensers

Use institutional kitchen, meal service, and food handling experience to support AgeCare's resident-focused dining services.
