You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for acute medicine patients, including geriatric and chronic disease populations. Key Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate designated acute medicine patient care
Implement nursing interventions for complex clinical situations
Teach clients and families about illness and wellness




Participate in discharge planning and client advocacy
Document care and respond to incidents appropriately

Requirements:
Current practising registration with BCCNM as a Registered Nurse
Acute Medicine nursing practice experience and knowledge
Ability to perform focused secondary assessments
Knowledge of pathophysiology and treatment protocols
Competence with IV, oxygen, drains, and catheters
