The Specialist, Regional Long-Term Ventilation supports coordination across health sectors for ongoing or newly initiated ventilation. This position connects CHEO, The Ottawa Hospital, intensive care, hospitals, and home settings. It also supports best practices through administrative, educational, and procedural work.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate regional home mechanical ventilation transitions
Facilitate long-term ventilation program best practices
Provide technical support to others
Work with committees, leadership, physicians, and stakeholders




Support administrative, educational, and procedural activities

Requirements:
Three-year Respiratory Therapy community college program
Unrestricted Ontario respiratory therapy general license
At least five years in a health care field
Two recent years coordinating and advising others
Long-term ventilation, quality improvement, and medical terminology knowledge
