Lead maintenance operations at JBS Ontario in Belleville, Ontario, applying equipment reliability and safety leadership across a food processing facility.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor oversees day-to-day facility maintenance and unionized employee leadership. The position manages preventative and corrective programs, scheduling, performance management, budgets, and compliance. It supports production, quality, customer service, and operational goals through equipment performance and planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead maintenance operations and oversee facility equipment reliability
Coach and train unionized maintenance employees
Manage preventative and routine maintenance programs
Coordinate scheduling, attendance, evaluations,
and disciplinary processes
Control departmental budgets and maintenance-related costs
Requirements:
Post-secondary degree, diploma, or related Journeyman certification
More than five years of progressive related experience
Manufacturing experience, especially food or meat processing
Management experience in a unionized manufacturing workplace preferred
Knowledge of WHMIS, labour relations, and conflict resolution
Use maintenance leadership, analytical skills, and safety knowledge to support reliable operations at JBS Ontario in Belleville.
