Support student progression at NAIT as an Academic Advisor using student-centered advising, coaching, and intercultural communication skills. Versatile work arrangements may be requested.

This temporary Academic Advisor serves students in NAIT’s JR Shaw School of Business. You will provide individualized guidance throughout the student lifecycle, helping prospective, current, and returning students understand programs, pathways, resources, and supports. The position also contributes to retention and student-facing service improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide program-specific academic progression guidance and coaching
Manage at-risk student cases and make appropriate referrals
Facilitate outcome-based information sessions and workshops




Maintain student records and complete reporting activities
Collaborate across NAIT to improve student experiences

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
Three years of related experience
Understanding of student-centered developmental advising
Solid listening, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
Experience with JRSSB programs considered an asset

Bring academic advising, case management, and team-oriented communication skills to support JRSSB students at NAIT.
