This senior medicinal chemistry position focuses on small molecule drug discovery within pharmaceutical research and development. You will design, synthesize, and optimize lead compounds while collaborating with biologists, pharmacologists, and computational chemists. Key Responsibilities:
Design and synthesize novel small molecule compounds
Optimize lead compounds through iterative SAR cycles
Characterize compounds using NMR, LC-MS, and HPLC
Interpret biological data with collaborating scientists
Prepare reports for presentations and publications
Requirements:
PhD in organic or medicinal chemistry
At least five years industry medicinal chemistry experience
Expertise in asymmetric and multi-step synthesis
Experience designing diverse chemical libraries
Robust SAR and structure-based drug design understanding
Apply senior medicinal chemistry expertise across synthesis, characterization, SAR, and remote small molecule drug discovery research.
