Structural bioinformatics leadership in Kimberley combines protein modelling, molecular dynamics, and hybrid collaboration for pharmaceutical research and development.
As Lead Computational Biologist, you will guide computational biologists advancing protein structure prediction, analysis, docking, and structure-based drug design. The work spans biology, chemistry, and computer science while supporting drug discovery programmes. You will also help shape computational biology research strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor computational biologists in structural bioinformatics
Develop strategies for protein prediction, analysis, and docking
Execute molecular dynamics simulations of protein interactions
Apply structure-based drug design to optimise lead compounds
Collaborate with medicinal chemists, biologists, and pharmacologists
Requirements:
PhD in computational biology or related structural field
At least seven years of post-doctoral research experience
Expertise in protein modelling and simulation techniques
Programming skills in Python or C++
Experience managing projects and mentoring scientists
Lead structural bioinformatics research through protein modelling, simulation, drug design, and scientific collaboration in Kimberley.
