Lead private equity, venture capital, and debt investments as a Director with BMO Capital Partners in Toronto. Drive transactions from origination through closing.

This Director position supports BMO Capital Partners’ North American middle-market investment activities. You will evaluate fund investments, direct equity, and subordinated debt prospects while working with Managing Directors and BMO partners. The role combines transaction leadership, portfolio monitoring, relationship development, and investment analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead transaction origination, structuring, diligence, negotiation, and closing
Evaluate fund, equity, and subordinated debt investments
Present opportunities to Investment and Valuation Committees




Monitor portfolio companies and develop management relationships
Build networks across private equity, growth equity, and venture capital

Requirements:
Seven or more years in investment banking or relevant fields
Understanding of private company financing across growth stages
Solid capital structure, principal investing, and analytical skills
Ability to lead concurrent transactions independently
Active leadership in deal teams and talent development
