The Lax Kw’alaams Truth and Reconciliation Department seeks a compassionate Wellness Coordinator for the Dip Wan Lümootk Lak’üünsk Project. You will support survivors, families, and community members while respecting Tsimshian protocols, teachings, and cultural practices. The work integrates traditional and mainstream wellness approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
Create secure, respectful opportunities for wellness and care
Assess participant needs and coordinate appropriate supports
Connect participants with cultural, wellness, and health providers
Develop and oversee a comprehensive wellness framework
Monitor initiatives, prepare reports, and maintain community communication
Requirements:
Graduate degree in health, social sciences, or administration
Several years’ health field experience generally expected
Trauma-informed, culturally protected support experience considered an asset
Understanding of Tsimshian protocols and practices considered an asset
Confidential, adaptable, and emotionally intelligent communication
Bring compassionate coordination, cultural respect, and wellness expertise to survivors and families throughout this Lax Kw’alaams project.
