Build hydrogen infrastructure automation at Powertech Labs, where senior engineers apply PLC programming and HMI expertise to specialized equipment. The position is based in Surrey. This Senior PLC and Controls Engineer leads automation design, programming, testing, and commissioning for hydrogen refueling equipment. You will develop logic diagrams, control descriptions, and standardized procedures. Work includes specifying PLC hardware, control valves, and instrumentation, while supporting customers remotely or at their sites.
Key Responsibilities
Execute PLC and HMI programming for infrastructure equipment
Specify instrumentation, control valves, and PLC hardware
Develop control narratives, functional descriptions, and logic diagrams
Lead field startup,
commissioning, and troubleshooting activities
Provide customer support for current and existing hydrogen stations
Requirements:
Eight years of industrial automation and programming experience
Experience with Rockwell, Allen Bradley, or Siemens systems
Expertise developing P&IDs; and process controls
Proficiency with CSA C22.1, NFPA 70, and NFPA 79
Willingness to travel to customer sites Bring senior automation, PLC, HMI, and commissioning experience to Powertech Labs hydrogen infrastructure programs in Surrey.
