As a full time, permanent Transportation Planner reporting to the Terminal Manager, you will manage transportation activities across the network. The work includes scheduling company drivers and common carriers, monitoring inventories, and coordinating demand balances. You will also support compliance, documentation, shipment changes, and customer communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily activities of local and remote company drivers
Schedule drivers and carriers for pickups and deliveries
Monitor hours of service against regulated scheduling limits
Coordinate inventory balances with plants and suppliers
Address delayed shipments with customer service and sales
Requirements:
Minimum five years of trucking industry experience
Knowledge of Transport Canada and Ontario regulations
Knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulations
Valuable math and competent computer skills
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
