Practice full-spectrum General Internal Medicine at West Coast General Hospital in Port Alberni, with Intensive Care and Coronary Care capabilities.

This permanent specialty position serves a 45,000-population referral base through the Division of Internal Medicine. In office capabilities include cardiac stress testing, pulmonary function, and 24-hour monitoring. An outpatient practice chance is also available through the Alberni Internal Medicine clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide full-spectrum General Internal Medicine care
Deliver Intensive Care and Coronary Care capabilities
Support inpatient medical responsibility and on-call services
Participate in outpatient practice through the AIM clinic
Teach and supervise medical learners when eligible

Requirements:
Eligibility for FRCPC in Internal Medicine
Eligibility for provisional or full British Columbia licensure
USA certification in Internal Medicine
Faculty appointment eligibility with UBC for teaching
Availability to start as soon as possible
