Support tenants during evening shifts with personal assistance, medication reminders, and safe ambulation in Cogir Senior Living’s supportive housing.
As a Tenant Companion, you will promote independence, dignity, and self-esteem within a safe, secure environment. You will provide cueing, hygiene assistance, medication reminders, and support with everyday tasks. The position also includes social activities, meals, and maintaining comfortable shared spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide cueing and assistance with personal supports and hygiene
- Support safe ambulation and medication reminders according to site protocol
- Maintain safe, clean, comfortable tenant suites and common areas
- Encourage meaningful social, recreational,
and leisure activities
- Participate in serving meals and snacks to tenants
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Relevant life or work experience caring for elderly people preferred
- Ability to work independently in a home setting
- English fluency in written and verbal communication
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one
