Apply phlebotomy and specimen processing skills as a full time Laboratory Assistant with Dynacare, working 100% onsite across Kelowna-area LHSC locations.
As a Laboratory Assistant - LHSC Float, you will process blood samples and laboratory specimens while entering requisitions and results accurately. You will provide empathetic customer service, perform venipuncture, and support patient care. The schedule varies Monday to Friday between 6:45am and 8:15pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Obtain blood samples using skilled venipuncture techniques
Process, sort, and steer specimens following established protocols
Enter patient, test, and requisition information accurately
Perform electrocardiograms and prepare specimens for transportation
Provide calm,
caring service during patient interactions
Requirements:
CSMLS or BCSLS certification, or accredited MLA program graduation
Related bachelor’s degree and one year phlebotomy experience may qualify
Solid phlebotomy skills with anxious patients
Detailed, self-managed approach within deadlines
English proficiency and availability across regional LHSCs
Support Dynacare patients through accurate phlebotomy, specimen handling, data entry, and compassionate service across Kelowna-area locations.
