Apply automotive plastics expertise as Axiom Group’s Technical Sales Engineer in Capac, Michigan, influencing vehicle programs through design and manufacturing knowledge.
This full time position connects Axiom with OEM engineering, design, and advanced engineering teams. You will support technical sales through injection moulding expertise, commercial awareness, customer relationships, and design-for-manufacturing improvements. The work spans early vehicle development through recent automotive program acquisition.
Key Responsibilities:
Build relationships with OEM engineering and design teams
Influence part design, materials, and specifications early
Lead technical discussions, reviews, and feasibility assessments
Recommend DFM, lightweighting,
consolidation, and cost improvements
Support quotations, proposals, and customer presentations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
At least 10 years in automotive industry roles
In-depth plastic injection moulding knowledge
Understanding of APQP, PPAP, GD&T;, DFM, and DFMEA
Valid passport and North American travel willingness
Bring injection moulding, technical communication, and commercial problem-solving skills to Axiom Group’s OEM-focused sales team.
