Coordinate ferrous material quality at American Iron & Metal while inspecting grades, contaminants, and hazardous materials. Work Monday-Friday on rotating shifts.

This Inspector position supports AIM’s Ferrous team through material inspection and yard coordination. You will identify non-conforming materials, verify customer specifications, direct inbound trucks, and complete daily site checks. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals are required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify quality issues, contaminants, and hazardous materials
- Direct inbound trucks to safe, efficient yard locations
- Perform daily quality and site inspections
- Coordinate sorting and proper handling within the yard




- Support inspection training on quality, procedures, and safety

Requirements:

- Experience inspecting materials within metal recycling is desirable
- Knowledge of metal properties and common contaminants
- Experience using measurement and inspection equipment
- Comfort working in heavy industrial conditions
- Ability to work across varying weather conditions
