Use blueprint reading and concrete testing skills with Amrize as a full-time Quality Assurance Technician in Calgary, Alberta.
In this quality control position, you will monitor precast production and document compliance with CSA A23.4, CPCI/PCI standards, and project requirements. You will review drawings, evaluate mix performance, inspect materials, and communicate findings to the QA/QC Manager and plant personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review shop drawings and job-specific specifications
- Inspect purchased materials before and during product placement
- Evaluate mix design performance and recommend adjustments
- Maintain plant procedure records and quality program reports
- Survey larger precast elements for camber and sweep
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree, preferably in Civil Engineering
- At least two years of relevant experience
- PCI Level 1/2, CCIL, or ACI certification preferred
- Basic surveying skills preferred
- Robust problem-solving, decision-making, and multitasking skills
