The Patient Care Specialist manages service delivery for patients enrolled in Shoppers Drug Mart’s Patient Support Programs. You act as a patient advocate by exploring medication funding, interpreting coverage details, and maintaining complete documentation. The position also supports financial assistance, prescription coordination, self-injection training, medication delivery, and adherence. You collaborate with program management, colleagues, and case managers to resolve patient needs or escalations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain expert reimbursement knowledge for assigned territories
- Administer financial means tests and manage assistance processes




- Determine coverage details and document reimbursement requirements
- Coordinate prescriptions, deliveries, training, and continued therapy access
- Contact patients periodically to confirm treatment adherence

Requirements:

- Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or direct patient experience is an asset
- Customer service or call centre experience of two to three years
- Ability to analyze information, data, and regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility for hours between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
