Shape distributed systems with service communication, observability, and performance optimization at Charger Logistics Inc. across North America.
As a senior backend developer, you will help evolve a transport provider’s distributed platform containing over 100 microservices. Your focus includes service-to-service communication, tracing, metrics, logging, and scalable database access. Collaboration with DevOps, QA, and frontend teams supports high availability and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Optimize service communication to reduce latency and improve throughput
Implement OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana observability practices
Develop scalable SQL queries for PostgreSQL systems
Improve testability and traceability with QA collaboration
Participate in architecture reviews and microservices best practices
Requirements:
Seven or more years of backend development experience
Microservices experience spanning at least two years
Experience with distributed tracing, metrics, and log aggregation
Knowledge of resilience patterns including retries and circuit breakers
Solid problem-solving and debugging skills in large-scale systems
