This role owns testing across a whole company, from the TV box with its firmware and detection models to web apps and the backend. A strong candidate has built a test suite from scratch before, not just kept one running, and can write test plans for current features and old code alike. They also need to get other engineers to actually adopt the standard, not just define it.

How it fits the AI era

The product itself runs on computer vision watching live TV, so testing detection models is part of the job and needs a different approach than testing a web page. Automation handles the repeatable checks, which frees a person to judge what is worth testing and where risk hides. The human side is setting the standard and persuading teams to follow it, which no tool does alone.

How it builds AI experience

Working here means gaining hands on practice testing computer vision detection models alongside firmware and apps,

a mix that is hard to find elsewhere. That experience builds judgment about how to validate AI driven features where outputs vary rather than pass or fail cleanly. It is a strong base for anyone wanting to grow into quality work on AI products.
