Seaspan Shipyards is seeking a Safety Supervisor to lead occupational health and safety activities supporting operational excellence and worker wellbeing. The afternoon schedule runs Monday to Friday, from 3:30pm to 11:30pm. You will guide hazard recognition, contractor safety, emergency preparedness, and corrective action management.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor confined space, heights, lifts, excavations, and hot work
Coordinate safety training and emergency response exercises
Support contractor performance monitoring and compliance verification




Prepare and communicate HSE metrics and reports
Verify corrective action effectiveness through follow-up

Requirements:
Five-plus years in construction, industrial, manufacturing, marine, or heavy industry
Three-plus years of supervisory or leadership experience
Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions
Knowledge of contractor safety and permit-to-work systems
Working knowledge of WorkSafeBC and COR requirements
