Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated High School Cafeteria Attendant to join our school food service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to students, maintaining a clean and protected dining environment, and providing excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of students while gaining valuable experience in food service operations within an educational setting.

Duties
Assist in food preparation, including assembling meals and portioning ingredients according to safety standards
Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for cash handling and transaction processing
Serve meals to students efficiently while maintaining a friendly and qualified demeanor
Manage cash register operations, including cash handling and making accurate change
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld throughout food handling and serving processes
Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchen stations, and equipment in compliance with sanitation protocols
Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies,



and organizing food items
Support students with any questions or concerns related to meal service or menu options
Uphold all health and safety regulations during food preparation and serving activities

Experience
Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with students and staff
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
Ability to manage time effectively during busy meal periods
Experience in the food industry or kitchen workplace is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
