We are looking for a Kafka Engineer with strong experience in Apache Kafka, Python, Linux, and Grafana to support and enhance large-scale distributed systems within an Investment Banking environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about troubleshooting complex systems and building reliable, high-performance data streaming solutions.
Required Skills:
Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and its ecosystem/tools.
Solid Python development experience.
Positive knowledge of Linux/Unix, shell scripting, and command-line utilities.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana.
Knowledge of MongoDB.
Experience working in Agile and globally distributed teams.
Exposure to the Investment Banking domain.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and support Kafka-based data streaming solutions.
Develop automation and utility scripts using Python.
Monitor platform health and performance using Grafana and related tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across distributed settings.
Collaborate with global teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
Analyze system behavior and perform root cause analysis for complex issues.
Preferred Skills:
5+ years in Kafka, Python, and Linux-based environments with financial services or investment banking exposure.
