Senior Backend Developer (.NET / APIs / Azure)

Location: Downtown Vancouver, BC (Hybrid) - Tues. Wed, Thursday - in office

The Chance

We're working with a growing Canadian fintech company that's changing how banks and financial institutions make lending decisions.

They've built a cloud-based platform that uses automation, financial data, and AI to make a traditionally slow and complicated process much faster and smarter.

They're looking for a strong, hands-on Senior Backend Developer who loves building things, knows their way around complex APIs, and can help shape the next stage of their platform.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your days in meetings talking about architecture. You'll be writing code, solving engaging technical problems, and having a real say in how the product evolves.

What You'll Be Doing
Building and improving backend services and APIs that power the platform.
Developing integrations with banks, financial data providers, and other third-party systems.
Writing clean, scalable code, primarily using Microsoft technologies.
Helping evolve the platform's architecture as the company grows.
Tackling challenges around performance, security, and reliability.




Working closely with a small, collaborative engineering team where your ideas actually matter.
Using modern AI development tools to work smarter and build faster.

What We're Looking For

backend development experience with strong hands-on coding skills.
Solid experience with C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core.
Strong experience building REST APIs and third-party integrations.
Good understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and databases.
Experience with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud environments.
Familiarity with API security, authentication, and up-to-date development practices.
Someone who takes ownership, thinks critically, and enjoys figuring things out rather than waiting for instructions.
