Leduc County is recruiting paid on-call firefighters for its Nisku, Recent Sarepta, Calmar, Thorsby and Warburg stations. Successful applicants complete a 14-week, 120-hour recruit course before receiving a casual offer and starting a one-year probation.
Pay:
Minimum 2 hours pay per emergency call and minimum 3 hours pay per weekly training/maintenance night; recruit course unpaid (rates in county compensation document)

Key requirements:
- At least 18 years old
- Live or work within 19 km of a Leduc County fire station
- Valid driver's licence and own transportation
- Vulnerable sector criminal record check
- Driver's abstract with seven or fewer demerits
- Meet physical agility requirements and attend weekly evening training
