Life Redesign Coach (Personal Support Worker) - Day ShiftFLOOR3 Nanaimo, BC, CACONNECT Parksville | Permanent Position | Starting at $28/hourJoin our team and make a difference after brain injury and stroke!CONNECT Parksville is looking for compassionate, motivated individuals to join our growing team as Life Redesign Coaches!As a guest on the traditional territory of the Coast Salish Nations, home to the Snaw-Naw-As First Nation and Qualicum First Nation, you will represent CONNECT by building meaningful relationships within our community.Employment: Permanent, hourly positionWage: Starting at $28/hourShifts: 8-hour day shifts, approximately 3-4 shifts per weekHours: Starting at 24+ hours weekly, with potential to increase to 32 hoursAvailability: Must be available to work at least one weekend day per week (Saturday or Sunday)Start Date: Flexible as we continue opening our Parksville location in phasesAbout the RoleAs a Life Redesign Coach, you'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of professional coaches to support people living with brain injury and stroke.Using our "doing-with" rather than "doing-for" approach, you'll help people achieve meaningful goals, build independence and participate in everyday life.Daily responsibilities include:Supporting personal care, daily routines and individual Life Redesign goalsCooking,



meal preparation and supporting nutritionCleaning, laundry and maintaining shared living spacesSupporting exercise programs, recreation and community outingsEncouraging independence, choice and meaningful connectionsCollaborating with other coaches and completing required documentationPersonal care is a requirement of this position and may include bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility assistance, feeding and tube-delivered nutrition.QualificationsStrong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skillsKind, adaptable, dependable and comfortable working as part of a teamAbility and willingness to cook, clean and provide personal careAbility to work independently and remain calm in challenging situationsExperience with brain injury or caregiving is an asset, but not requiredNo care aide certification required!
