This position develops technicians through on-the-job learning, pipeline operations, construction work, and progressive skill development. Responsibilities include emergency response, regulated documentation, customer representation, and protected utility system maintenance. Gas Utilities Operator training is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and operate natural gas distribution pipeline systems
Perform construction work following established policies and procedures
Respond to emergencies through rotational on-call responsibilities
Complete regulatory records and required documentation promptly
Provide customer service while representing the Company
Requirements:
Mechanical aptitude using tools, equipment, and instruments
High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
Three years related experience, including one utility operations year
Alberta Class 5 license with clean driver’s abstract
Protected work habits and ability to meet physical requirements
Bring mechanical aptitude, sound judgment, and protected work habits to progressive natural gas distribution training in Athabasca.
