Heartland Mutual Insurance seeks a Personal Lines Underwriter II to assess risk across renewals, endorsements, and recent submissions. You will determine appropriate terms and conditions, evaluate profitability, and apply company underwriting philosophy. Previous underwriting experience and rural business exposure are assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess risk levels using relevant customer background information
Negotiate risk acceptance terms with brokers
Evaluate individual risks for profitable business growth
Identify trends and communicate them to management
Support product, pricing, and service development
Requirements:
Insurance industry experience with Personal Lines knowledge
Robust analytical and decision-making abilities
Experience in underwriting preferred
Rural business or broker experience is an asset
Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
