Deliver trauma-informed therapy for Equally Secure clients across the community, using CBT and Brief Solution-Focused Therapy. Work Monday to Friday within a hybrid arrangement.
As an Outreach Clinical Counsellor, provide short-term counselling focused on safety and stabilization for adults impacted by family and domestic violence. Tailor therapeutic services, psychoeducation, referrals, and emotional support to individual needs. Coordinate care with YW Calgary, Calgary Police Service, and community partners while documenting services accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
Use evidence-based modalities for therapeutic counselling
Deliver individualized psychoeducation and counselling support
Provide crisis intervention and emotional stabilization
Connect clients with YW Calgary and community resources
Participate in supervision, meetings, and clinical consultation
Requirements:
Master’s degree in a relevant clinical discipline
Good-standing qualified registration under applicable legislation
Minimum two years’ counselling experience
Family violence, addictions, and mental health experience
Flexibility in hours and scheduling
Bring CBT, trauma-informed practice, crisis intervention, and client-centered counselling skills to Equally Protected outreach services.
