A good knowledge of both French and English is therefore required, as you will collaborate regularly with colleagues across our offices and communicate with corporate partners in both languages, reinforcing PMML’s position as a leader in the commercial real estate market in Quebec and beyond.

Your role:

As a damage insurance broker (commercial lines), you will support investor, owner and developer clients in managing their risk by reviewing their coverage and proposing solutions suited to their needs. You will work closely with corporate clients to insure their real estate assets and optimize their insurance coverage.

Solicit prospects and potential clients by phone

Collect the information required for risk analysis and assessment;

Carry out client needs analyses;

Calculate and compare insurance premiums for quote requests;

Propose specialized solutions and provide sound advice to clients;

Follow up proactively on client requests for insurance products by phone and email.





Your responsibilities

Analyze clients’ insurance needs and recommend the most suitable protection

Negotiate with insurers to secure the best coverage and pricing conditions

Manage a varied client portfolio, including real estate companies and operating companies in the manufacturing and construction sectors

Support clients through the claims process, ensuring prompt and fair settlement in the event of a loss

Proactively manage policy renewals, propose amendments and advise clients as their insurance needs evolve

Build and maintain strong business relationships with clients and partners

Profile

Successful completion of the commercial damage insurance examinations

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in commercial damage insurance or commercial underwriting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Excellent communication and business development skills

Impeccable work ethic, rigour and professionalism

Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and meet deadlines

Comfort with technology and digital file management

Experience in risk management and negotiation with insurers

French-English bilingualism — a significant asset
