Install and maintain rotating equipment as a Millwright Machinist with Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Apply machining and alignment expertise across campus facilities.

Reporting to the Trade Supervisor or Manager, this full time position supports installation, removal, repair, and preventive maintenance. You will troubleshoot motors, pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors, and related machinery. The work also involves reading drawings, using trade tools, and fabricating components.

Key Responsibilities:

- Repair, replace, and install campus rotating equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery
- Machine replacement components using lathes and milling machines
- Align power shafts, pulleys, and power drives




- Position machinery using hoists, rollers, and trolleys

Requirements:

- Valid Nova Scotia-recognized Millwright/Machinist certificate
- Five years of recent related journeyperson experience
- Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Proficiency with tools of the trade
- Willingness to work overtime and standby duties
