Apply geological engineering skills in North Vancouver with Piteau Associates, focusing on groundwater studies and mine water management projects.

This eight-month co-op begins January 2027 within Piteau Associates’ Canadian Hydro Group. Students work alongside engineers and hydrogeologists on technically challenging projects involving environmental assessments, aquifer characterization, and dewatering. The work offers exposure to mining, civil, and industrial infrastructure applications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support pit slope depressurization and mine dewatering design
- Contribute groundwater components to environmental impact assessments
- Study aquifers for water supply and regulatory requirements
- Assist with well design and construction




- Develop groundwater monitoring programs for mines and contaminated sites

Requirements:

- Study geological engineering or civil engineering
- Show robust work ethic and attention to detail
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Interest in fieldwork and potential travel opportunities
- Hold a valid driver’s license and relocate to Greater Vancouver
