Analyze transportation systems with HDR as a full time Transportation Planning Co-op, applying GIS mapping and travel demand forecasting to real projects.

This temporary co-op supports HDR’s Transportation Business Group alongside transportation planning and engineering professionals. Projects may include transit planning, transportation master plans, municipal environmental assessments, and travel demand modelling studies. The work offers exposure to planning, analysis, research, design, and consultation activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze transportation data for planning projects
- Perform travel demand forecasting and modelling studies
- Create GIS maps using transportation planning software




- Research transportation policies and conduct capacity analysis
- Support transit, active transportation, and public consultation activities

Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
- Eligible for the PEY program
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, EMME, Visum, R, or Python
