Protect swimmers at McGill University’s Memorial pool as a part time Lifeguard using constant surveillance and emergency response skills. This position involves 10 hours weekly.

Reporting to the immediate supervisor, the Lifeguard supports Athletics and Recreation operations at the Memorial pool. The role includes opening and closing the pool, preparing equipment, maintaining organized facilities, and responding to emergencies. Candidates need NLS lifeguarding and Standard First Aid C certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain constant surveillance of patrons around the pool
- Respond immediately to emergencies and secure patron safety
- Provide emergency care until medical services arrive
- Open and close the pool area as scheduled
- Set up equipment and maintain organized facilities

Requirements:

- High School Diploma
- One year of related experience
- NLS lifeguarding certification
- Standard First Aid C certification
- Successful criminal background check
