Job Title: Data Modernization Transformation Lead Location: Toronto, ON Work Model: Hybrid Job Summary We are seeking a senior technology leader to lead the Client's Data Modernization Program.

The individual will be responsible for driving the overall transformation roadmap, managing cross-functional delivery teams, ensuring architectural alignment, and partnering closely with Program Managers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Architects, Business Stakeholders, and Engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Technical Delivery, along with demonstrated experience leading large-scale technology transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities 1.

Program Leadership Own the overall delivery of the Client's Modernization Program.

Define and manage the program roadmap, milestones, dependencies, risks, assumptions, and critical decisions.

Coordinate activities across multiple delivery streams and cross-functional teams.

Drive executive governance, steering committees, status reviews, and stakeholder communications.

Ensure alignment with business outcomes, timelines, budgets, and quality targets. 2.

Architecture & Solution Oversight Collaborate with Data Architects, Solution Architects, and Enterprise Architects to define target-state capabilities.

Provide architectural leadership and challenge solution approaches where required.

Ensure consistency across data, integration, reporting, analytics, and platform modernization initiatives.

Guide modernization decisions by balancing business objectives, technical debt reduction, risk, and cost. 3.

Delivery Leadership Partner closely with Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Engineering Managers.

Remove delivery blockers and manage cross-team dependencies.

Monitor overall program health and proactively identify and mitigate risks.

Ensure successful execution across Agile and traditional delivery workstreams.





Drive execution and delivery accountability across multiple workstreams. 4.

Business & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary technology leader for Retirement Modernization.

Engage business leadership, platform owners, product teams, and technology executives.

Translate business priorities into actionable technology delivery roadmaps.

Drive alignment between business strategy and technology execution.

Communicate program progress, risks, and key decisions effectively to executive stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Experience 15+ years of experience in technology delivery and transformation.

Strong understanding of Data Architecture, Solution Architecture, Enterprise Integration, Modernization Programs, and Cloud Platforms.

Proven experience managing large-scale modernization initiatives involving multiple teams and stakeholders.

Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to understand architecture sufficiently to challenge technical decisions and guide solution direction.

Demonstrated ability to lead architects, engineering teams, Project Managers, and Scrum Masters.

Robust program execution, governance, and delivery management capabilities.

Experience owning modernization outcomes from strategy through implementation.

Preferred Background Candidates with any of the following backgrounds are preferred: Solution Architect who has transitioned into Program Leadership.

Data Architect with transformation delivery experience.

Enterprise Architect with accountability for execution.

Technical Delivery Leader managing complex modernization programs.
