Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 90 hours bi-weekly Education: No degree, certificate or diploma Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Work site environment Hog and pig farming Dusty Noisy Odours Work setting Rural area Tasks Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals Diagnose livestock health issues Handling animals Marking livestock as proof of ownership Monitoring animal health Perform livestock feeding Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration Track and report on current feed inventory Treat livestock health issues Weaning Feed and tend animals Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed Maintain livestock performance records Maintain quality control and production records Select livestock for sale Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs Maintain work records and logs Detect disease and health problems in crops,
