Explore biophysics research in Toronto by analyzing tumour and vascular imaging data with OCT, 7T MRI, MATLAB, or Python.

The Vitkin Lab at UHN’s Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is seeking a Co-op student for a temporary full time placement. Working under direct supervision, you will contribute to FLASH radiotherapy research involving tumour biology, normal tissue microvasculature, and multimodal imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

- Acquire longitudinal tumour and vascular OCT imaging data
- Assist image acquisition using small-animal 7T MRI
- Quantify imaging results with MATLAB and/or Python
- Plan irradiation schedules, imaging timepoints, and controls
- Present progress during weekly group meetings

Requirements:

- Enrollment in biomedical engineering or medical biophysics
- Experience with optical imaging or MRI is an asset
- Small-animal handling experience is an asset
- Interest in scientific writing and literature review
- Ability to prioritize concurrent projects and meet deadlines

Build practical research experience with tumour imaging, experimental planning, data analysis, and FLASH radiotherapy at UHN.
