**Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic** **Job Description** Join our dynamic team as an Aircraft Mechanic, where you'll be part of an exciting aircraft conversion program focused primarily on Q400 conversion to aerial firefighting.

You will be engaged in heavy maintenance, structural inspections, engine checks, wheel changes, and overall repairs.

This role demands flexibility to work in various divisions across different facilities. **Responsibilities** Perform heavy maintenance and mechanical work on aircraft, particularly focusing on Q400 conversion to aerial firefighting.

Conduct structural inspections and repairs.

Engage in engine checks and wheel changes.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems.

Collaborate with team members to ensure aircraft functionality and safety. **Essential Skills** 5+ years of aircraft heavy maintenance experience. 5+ years of aircraft mechanic experience.

Human Factors & WHMIS Certification, current within the last 3 years.

Versatile experience in heavy and line maintenance.

Must own tools and have reliable transportation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** Experience with Dash 8 Q400 and other Dash 8 models.

Experience with Turbo Props and B737 beneficial. AME M2 Licence is a plus.

Experience in North regions such as Yukon and NW territories is beneficial.

The role requires basic tooling to be brought to the job.

Standard shifts are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional overtime on Saturdays or extended 10-hour days.

**Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Abbotsford, BC. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $53.80 - $56.87/hr.
