About the Role

Our client is a leader in providing enterprise blockchain solutions and is seeking a skilled Blockchain Platform Engineer to join their innovative team in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will be responsible for the development, deployment, and maintenance of our blockchain platforms, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and performant. This role is vital in supporting our clients' digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities

- Develop, deploy, and manage blockchain nodes and networks (e.g., Hyperledger Fabric, Ethereum private networks).
- Implement and maintain infrastructure for blockchain applications, including cloud-based deployments.
- Ensure the security, stability, and scalability of the blockchain platform.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions proactively.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications with the blockchain platform.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and management processes.
- Research and implement best practices for blockchain infrastructure management.
- Work with distributed systems, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud technologies.




- Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams in Kimberley.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure management, with at least 1 year focused on blockchain platforms.
- Experience with blockchain platforms like Hyperledger Fabric, Ethereum, or Corda.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and infrastructure automation tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies.
- Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment in Kimberley.
