Title: Security Guard

Employment Type: Fulltime

Pay Rate: $268.80- $288 per day.

Site: Squamish

Schedule: 14 days on and off (rotating schedule)

Site Overview

Located in the Squamish area, this active client site prioritizes safety, asset protection, and high-quality customer service. This is a local role based directly in Squamish and is not a fly-in, fly-out position.

What You'll Be Doing

- Manage access control for authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering the property.

- Conduct regular interior and exterior foot patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment.

- Monitor CCTV systems, alarm hardware, and security monitoring equipment.

- Identify potential security risks to protect client property and assets.

- Enforce site rules and procedures with a professional, customer-focused approach.

- Respond to security incidents and emergencies, complete initial investigations, and draft detailed occurrence reports and daily activity logs.

- Communicate clearly with client contacts, emergency services, and internal team members.

- Assist with traffic control and additional security duties as assigned.

Must Haves

- Valid BC Security Worker Licence.

- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of an 8 to 12-hour shift.

- Comfort working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

- Ability to navigate stairs, uneven terrain, and large property areas safely.

- Basic computer skills, including report writing, smartphone apps, and two-way radio operation.

- Strong communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.

- Ability to remain calm and professional while managing challenging situations or emergencies.
