POSITION SUMMARY:

Heavy Equipment / Truck / Trailer Technician (Journey Person) -Newco Metals is looking for a Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician OR Truck and Trailer Technician to work at our garage location.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

· Licensed Heavy Equipment or Truck and Trailer Technician (Journeyperson)

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract

· 5+ years of heavy equipment industry and equipment experience or Truck and Trailer experience

· Experience using diagnostic software.

· Robust mechanical abilities, including hydraulic, pneumatics and electrical repair.

· Safety oriented and strong understanding of provincial safety regulations.

· Team oriented and willing to assist others when required.

· Exceptional time management and organizational skills

· Ability to plan and execute aspects of work independently.





· Commitment to project up-time and ensuring communication is a priority.

· Advanced verbal and written communication skills

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES/DUTIES:

- Perform inspections of vehicles (Government Safety Inspections, Brake Inspections) to ensure compliance with all applicable Acts, regulations, and standards. Issue inspection certificates.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair Equipment, Trucks and/or Trailers.
- Complete additional tasks as required

Rate of pay will be based on qualifications and experience.
