Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and motivated Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing quality workmanship.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Identify mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure vehicles meet applicable safety standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend vehicle life.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, parts used, and maintenance performed.
- Test vehicles after repairs to ensure proper operation and safety.
- Keep the workshop, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.




- Communicate repair findings, maintenance needs, and recommendations to supervisors or customers.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Requirements

- Previous experience working as a mechanic or in a similar automotive repair role.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs independently.
- Experience using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and workshop equipment.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license, where required for the position.
- Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship training is an asset; required credentials will depend on the role and applicable regulations.
- Ability to lift equipment and parts and perform physical tasks associated with the job.
